brand camp jobs
I'm starting an experiment. This will be a year when a lot of us will have at least one eye open on the job market. Some of us will have both eyes open. So, I thought it would be useful to share open marketing jobs.
I'm playing around with a marketing job board that will link off of this blog and my weekly Brand Camp email. I'm starting off with a test. If you have an interesting job to fill, send me an email with the title, company, description, and location to brandcampjobs@googlemail.com. Once I have a few jobs to start, I'll make the job board live and update it with new jobs as they come in. I plan to link to one interesting job each week from my weekly cartoon email and this blog.
I know many of you do some recruiting (because many of you have forwarded open jobs to me in the past), so hopefully this is a helpful targeted way to get the word out.
My cartoons now reach about 10,000 Brand Campers each week around the world. This is a lot smaller than something like Craigslist, but it's much more targeted. I love Craigslist, but every time I've used it for a job post in the past, I drowned under a mountain of resumes. And, of course, Craigslist is sadly lacking in cartoons.
Over the last few years, I've occasionally plugged one of my own jobs in my Brand Camp newsletter, and always found good candidates that way (and ended up hiring a few). So, I thought it could be useful to open it up.
Anyway, I'd love your blog comments and suggestions on this experiment as it evolves. I hope you find it useful.

I love the idea. In media the “specific always drives out the general.” You have a very targeted audience of brand professionals. I for one would love to post positions and have access to your targeted base. Three Cheers from Jeff Bennett for this idea!
Tom,
A great idea. I’ve seen a few sites do this, and it does seem to work, as the site audience is often closely matching the job spec.
Best,
Jon
Great idea! I’m going to keep an eye on this one – I’m likely to be a consumer of the idea soon
Hi Tom,
I work as a recruiter for Hollister, a staffing firm in Boston (www.hollisterstaff.com), and I think this is a great idea! Good luck experimenting.
